Old course at the Siam Country club is legendary, it is the home of three (3) world class championship golf courses with a par of 72 which is set over 7000 yards. The course was originally designed by I. Izumi and constructed first in September 1969 but was recently reconstructed by Lee Schmidt of Schmidt and Cutlery Design Inc. who had to remove some of the trees around to give a little more space for breeze and comfort to the players when playing. This beautiful tree-lined course club is ultimately mature and has been host to most major LGPA tournaments on several occasions. This 18-hole course was first established over 35 years ago, making it one of the oldest courses in Thailand.
The course club is at a convenient location and distance which is just 10 minutes drive outside the city towards Mabprachan. The course club environment is always in an exclusively excellent condition with world class facilities which includes a large clubhouse with changing facilities, the right practice facilities, restaurants for food and drinks before or after the game and pro-shops. It is also one of the best championship courses among others in SouthEast-Asia.
The course is covered with magnanimous view of mature plants, tropical trees and shrubs with a certain presence given to a variation of fruit trees, fitting an air of an orchard in fruit picking season, when on the short grass.
Though the course is having championship difficulty, the courses are quite wide, so making the flat area of ground from which you hit your first shot a good one is very important.
